Kimolos
Kimolos is a volcanic island with exotic beauty and wonderful colors. It has many beaches, which you will immediately fall in love with and its sea makes us proud for its transparent clearness.
It has been continuously inhabited for 6,500 years and traces of its history are evident in every step you take.
“Chorio”, the main village of the island, is large and full of life.
In its centre you can visit the Medieval Castle, the Archaeological and Folklife museums and the very important Post-Byzantine churches. Walk through the labyrinthine alleys and enjoy the traditional Cycladic architecture.

Local dairy and meat products of our own production, can be found at “Helen’s Mini Market» and «George Logothetis – Papadioulis ” butcher – shop. Our stores are on Giorgila’s square which has a well and is in the main street of Chorio.
In Chorio you can also find a community clinic , a post office , a pharmacy , traditional bakeries , cafès , taverns and grill-restaurants, grocery stores, mini-markets , bars , patisseries , gelatery- creperie shop, gift and souvenirs shops and a bookstore.
You can rent bikes , scooters and cars or you can take the bus or arrange a taxi.
You will find a gas station in Agios Nikolaos – Klima.
Kimolos Access
Kimolos is a small island in the western Cyclades , located 87 nautical miles from the port of Piraeus from which there are ferry routes back and forth. The journey lasts from 4 to 7 hours depending on the type of vessel.
With the other Cycladic islands it is connected with inter Cyclad itineraries while it is daily connected with open-ended ferry to neighboring Milos. The duration from Milos(Appolonia) is only 30 minutes.
You can also get to Kimolos by plane from Milos .There are daily flights from Athens International Airport Elefterios Venizelos to Milos which last 40 minutes. You can arrange taxi to take you from Milos airport to the port of Pollonia in Milos which last 20 minutes and the Ferry – Boat or Delfini II (the sea taxi that you have to arrange also) will take you to Psathi, the port of Kimolos.
